experienced key account handler / production assistant

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well established Point of Purchase Display manufacturing company whose services include acrylic fabrication, vacuum forming, screen printing, laser cutting, metal work, injection moulding and joinery. The candidate is required to work directly with the company directors on key accounts and specialist projects.

Day to day tasks include:

  • Client contact by phone and email regarding new and ongoing projects.
  • Assisting with estimating for acrylic fabrication, vacuum forming, screen printing, laser cutting, metal work, injection moulding and joinery.
  • Logistics and project planning.
  • Organising of prototyping and quality control.
  • Assisting in production when required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel to build and update complex project plans.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel to build and adapt cost calculators.
  • Sourcing and negotiating with suppliers for specialist work.

Key attributes for the role include:

  • Previous experience of related production / POP industry is essential.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of SAGE Line 50 beneficial.
  • An understanding of ISO9001-2000 operating systems.
  • Working knowledge of acrylic fabrication, vacuum forming, screen printing, laser cutting, metal work, injection moulding and joinery.
  • Understanding of technical drawings and cad / cam.
  • Good decision making abilities.
  • Ability to cope under pressure and react to tight deadlines.
  • Pro-active approach to problem solving.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Exceptional eye for detail.
  • Clean driving license

This is not a 9-5 job and candidates must be able to demonstrate a commitment to the business. There may be an element of travel involved but the main place of work will be West Horndon.

A fantastic opportunity to work for a well established Point of Sale Display manufacturing company whose services include, Acrylic Fabrication, Vacuum Forming, Screen Printing, Laser Cutting and Joinery.

This position is a very important role within the company. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily running and upkeep of the machine. You will report directly to the Production Manager.

  • Run and set machine
  • Knowledge of Corel Draw, Solid Works, CAD, N Rout 4 (training provided)
  • Handling Acrylic Sheet
  • Good Communicative Skills
  • Ability to understand technical drawings
  • Can work as part of a team
  • Attention to detail
  • Assist in production
  • Willingness to do overtime (when required)

Hours: 8:30 – 17:00
